4Lunch is a social enterprise that runs cookery workshops, street food markets and catering for communities in Manchester.
Established in 2013, we work with various organisations to bring our cookery school and training opportunities to communities throughout the region.
Food is a universal experience that brings people together. Learning to cook and share is a fundamental part of living a healthy and balanced life.
Food also offers many employment and enterprise opportunities. We aim to inspire our students to think about food in creative and innovative ways.
The 4Lunch vision is for people to be able to use the power of food to improve their health, wellbeing and life opportunities.
It is our mission to cook with communities, inspire learning and change lives through food.
We do this through our cookery workshops, educational programmes and work experience opportunities, collaborating with a wide range of socially-minded organisations and businesses.
4Lunch started on the streets of Manchester, selling our own brand of fresh Mediterranean-inspired street food.
We’ve stayed true to our roots and still trade at our favourite market spots in the city. We can also provide private event catering.
4Lunch was founded in 2013 by Amy Win whilst she was studying Politics and Economics at the University of Manchester.
During this time, Amy volunteered at a local charity supporting disadvantaged young people.
At the same time, street food markets were popping up all over the city.
Putting 2+2 together, Amy set up 4Lunch, a social enterprise that would offer work opportunities to young people.
4Lunch now offers cookery workshops and educational programmes to all ages and backgrounds.
4Lunch has also received a number of high-profile awards.
