Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

A healthy, tasty dip, perfect with toasted flatbreads or vegetable sticks. This homemade hummus tastes much better than shop bought versions.

Method:

  1. Juice the lemon through a sieve and into a bowl.
  2. Add the tahini to the bowl. Whizz the tahini and lemon juice together using a hand blender.
  3. Add the olive oil, cumin, and salt to the bowl and whizz again.
  4. Drain the chickpeas and rinse. Add half of the chickpeas and whizz again until smooth.
  5. Add the roasted red peppers and whizz again until smooth.
  6. Add the rest of the chickpeas and whizz again until smooth. Taste and season.

  • Tahini – 60g
  • Lemon – ½
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 30ml
  • Cumin – ½ tsp
  • Sea Salt – 1 tsp
  • Roasted Red Peppers – 250g
