Stir Fried Beef and Broccoli

An iron and protein-packed dish easy to make quickly for a healthy mid-week meal.

Method:

  1. Wash and chop the broccoli into florets.
  2. Blanch the florets by plunging them into boiling water for three minutes. Then transfer the broccoli into ice cold water. Drain and set aside. Slice the garlic cloves and red chilli and set aside.
  3. Slice the garlic cloves and red chilli thinly. Slice the beef frying steak.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan on high heat. Once hot, add the beef and fry for one minute.
  5. Add the garlic and red chilli to the pan and fry for one minute.
  6. Next, add the broccoli. Stir through and add the cashews.
  7. Next, add the oyster sauce and a splash of water. Cook for a further minute and remove from the heat.
  8. Finish with a little black pepper and serve with rice.

  • Broccoli – 1 head
  • Vegetable Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Beef Frying Steak – 250g
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Red Chilli – 1
  • Cashews – 70g
  • Oyster Sauce – 150ml
  • Black Pepper – to taste
